Biography
Pat McGinn serves as the Executive Vice President for Marsh McLennan
Agency’s (MMA) Conshohocken, Pennsylvania office. His key responsibilities
are developing and ensuring the successful execution of the MMA’s growth
strategy through the recruitment, development, and leadership of our
consulting and brokerage client relationship team.
Full Biography
Pat has been in the insurance field for over 33 years. He has worked with
large, medium, and small employers in both the private and public sectors to develop and execute strategies to create value and maximize the impact of domestic and international insurance, employee benefits, and wellness solutions.
Share a meaningful piece of advice you’ve received.
It is not only ok, but it is good to fail. We learn through failure, and we fail when we push ourselves to be better, achieve more, and try new things. When you do fail, fail fast, fail small, and fail the first time.
What do you love most about our workplace culture?
I love the entrepreneurial spirit and enthusiasm to try and solve a problem and help our clients realize their goals. We have the best people, tools, and resources, but it is the way we encourage and celebrate the creativity and success of our colleagues in leveraging our capability to meet the unique needs of each client. It is not about us, what we have, or what we do; Everything is about them.
What meaningful advice would you give to our colleagues?
Be curious, dig deeper, and ask questions. Why? How? How else? Seek and embrace diversity–diversity of background, thought, and experience. Our difference and our power comes from our people. The more we challenge and help each other to grow, the better we are in helping our clients.
What’s your favorite pastime or hobby?
The activities are diverse: golf, fishing, boating (really anything on the water), skiing, travel, dining, or working with others to help our communities. The common denominator that is my favorite pastime is spending the time with my family and friends doing all the above and more.
