Biography
Andrew Neary is CEO of the East Region of Marsh McLennan Agency (MMA), a leading consultancy at the forefront of redefining the employee benefits and risk management industry. A seasoned leader with more than 25 years’ experience in health care, Andrew focuses his executive team on developing new solutions to help employers minimize their risk and maximize the value of their benefits and retirement investments, and manage their business risk.
Full Biography
Consulting with companies representing all industries, Andrew works closely with MMA’s strategic leaders to track the trajectory of change within the benefits field. Using these insights, he leads MMA in continually reshaping its services to meet evolving marketplace demands driven by changing legislation, technology, and evolving business needs.
Andrew joined the firm in 2004, having spent time in both technical and consulting roles at Prudential, Aetna, and Mercer where he led financial underwriting and account management teams. At MMA, Andrew was instrumental in growing our employee health and benefits practice, serving first as client leader, then practice leader before taking the reins as CEO in 2021. During his tenure, Marsh McLennan Agency has expanded its services to include new practices in voluntary benefits, strategic employee communications, retirement services, and most recently business insurance with a newly announced acquisition of Graham Company in August, 2023.

What meaningful advice would you give to our colleagues?
To achieve balance. It is important to consider different perspectives and viewpoints. By actively listening to your colleagues and understanding their opinions, you can make more informed decisions. This approach allows for a comprehensive understanding of the issues and challenges at hand.
What’s your favorite pastime or hobby?
I love to hike. When we travel, we always look for a new, challenging trail.
